Patty joined the Bellingham Physical Therapy team in 2013. She graduated from Western Washington University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Exercise and Sport Science. Following graduation she took the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Health Fitness Specialist exam (ACSM-HFS) which has recently been changed to Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM EP-C). She worked as an aide and personal trainer in a local clinic and found her passion in the physical therapy field. This led her to Whatcom Community College Physical Therapist Assistant program. She graduated from the program in 2010. She has taken several continuing educational classes from Kinesotape, Muscle Energy Technique and movement courses to name a few. However, she finds her interest in the Gary Gray Institute and the Institute of Physical Arts. These institutes have foundations in exercise based techniques as well as research based manual techniques.
Patty enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities, helping them achieve their physical therapy goals. She feels everyone is their own “athlete” and finds joy in helping them return to their chosen activities. When not at work, she can be found adventuring in the mountains or on the water.
